While an engineering curriculum is saturated with the essential coursework needed to educate and train students to become experts in their field of study there is a critical need to develop educational programming that can expose students to the business skills needed to succeed in today?s complex engineering industry. The VCU School of Engineering Foundation, in partnership with the School?s Career Services office, is addressing this need through the Ultimate Engineer lecture series, generously sponsored by Altria. Our November lecture is What Makes the Ultimate Engineer? Our panel of successful engineers will give their own perspective of what skills an engineer needs in today?s workplace to stand out and rise to the top. This panel features representatives from management, human resources, sales and engineering. This is a ticketed event and TICKETS ARE LIMITED! Students can pick up ticket in the Career Services Office or the School of Engineering Foundation Office (West Hall 303). Recruiters from Altria will be present at the lecture and are looking to meet with freshmen, sophomores and juniors from the chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering departments. Casual attire is fine. Room E1221 - Refreshements to follow
