This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, and other health care professionals who deliver primary care to children and adolescents. Each half-day program will be devoted to one of the following subject areas: emergency medicine, primary care, and developmental pediatrics. Plenary sessions will include a question and answer session with each presentation, small group discussions will be offered, and a reception will provide additional opportunities for participants to discuss medical issues with faculty members and colleagues. The small group sessions will provide an opportunity for case analysis and in depth discussion of selected topics within the subject areas. Each participant may attend two of the small group discussion sessions each day (each small group session is one hour long).
