This free event is open to faculty, students and staff, as well as to the public. Two panel discussions on social policy issues will be held, and a video showing on human trafficking will follow. Speakers from the Office of Child and Family Services, the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Greater Virginia Area Stop Child Abuse Now; and Voices for Virginia's Children will discuss programs and policies affecting children and youth. From 7-9PM, a showing of ?Responding to Victims of Human Trafficking,? a training video for service providers from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), and a discussion about "What Can We Do About it?" Speakers include a trainer and program planner on responding to human trafficking, and the VCU student organization UNICEF @ VCU, which has been raising awareness on this global concern.
