Valerie Holton, director of Community-Engaged Research, for a discussion on "Building Buzz: (Scienties) Communicating Science in New Media Environments." (article). The Community Engagement Cafe is a discussion group that brings together faculty, staff and students from across the university to explore topics related to community-engaged teaching, learning, outreach and research. Each month a facilitator from the Division of Community Engagement will lead a discussion on a selected article or video. ? Community Engagement Cafe discussions will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month September to December and February to April in VCU ASPiRE (835 West Grace Street), Room 1004H. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. Participants can drop in for any of the free sessions to discuss the highlighted article or video for the month. Registration is not required.
