Research on diversity and student success in higher education has identified campus climate as a critical framework for understanding why not all students thrive equally even with access to the same educational opportunities. This session is designed to bring students, faculty and staff together to discuss the current VCU campus climate. Campus climate includes but is not limited to: institutional history, policies, and structures, perceptions and attitudes of the campus community. This conversation will focus on exploring ways to support the most marginalized members of our community. For more information and a complete listing of MLK Week events, please visit mlkday.vcu.edu.
