Ovarian cancer is the most difficult of the gynecologic malignancies to manage, and screening strategies have been disappointing thus far. However, advances in genetics offer women preventative options as well as better treatments against this disease. Join Dr. Sarah Temkin, gynecologic oncologist at VCU Massey Cancer Center, as she discusses how women at high risk for development of ovarian cancer can potentially be identified for preventative measures and how identifying genetic carriers now makes ovarian cancer patients eligible for new classes of targeted treatments. This seminar is free, but please register to attend by calling (804) 828-2357.
