Description: Nursing is a practice discipline, closest to the patient, family, and community. Nurse caregivers, educators, and scientists have a lens on best and problematic clinical practices that make them ideal innovators. Yet traditional roles and functions within the discipline have not led to breakthrough protocols, technologies, businesses, and inventions within their realm. This presentation will address the nature and scope of innovation, taking an idea and advancing it through research and practice channels through to implementation.
