A mother’s decision to drink alcohol while pregnant is a perilous journey that may alter the neurobiological development of her child. With increased dialogue
and earlier identification of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), we as medical professionals can mitigate the child’s disability and address the parents’ potential substance use disorders. The Adams Society is pleased to host Kathleen Mitchell, International Spokesperson and mother with personal experience with FASD, on March 20th in room 1009-1011 of the Molecular Medical Research Building. Food will be served! This event is open to all VCU students. RSVP
