When doing any research project, it is best practice to search in more than one database. However each database functions differently, and it can be useful to understand the particulars of transferring a successful search in one database to a different resource. This webinar will provide an overview of how to translate a search in PubMed to another useful biomedical database, Embase. The content provided will be especially useful for anyone working on (or considering) a systematic review, meta-analysis, or other high-level review article.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the differences between the PubMed and Embase databases
  • Determine the appropriate alterations to make for translating a search from PubMed to Embase
  • Discuss options for removing duplicate results between the two databases (PubMed and Embase)

Registration is required. After registering participants will receive the class URL via email.
