In collaboration with the VCU Common Book Program, VCU’s Project Gabriel is hosting a panel discussion that will explore the intersection of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Reparative Justice. This event will examine how efforts to address racial injustice have impacted historically marginalized communities, both within academia and beyond.

The panel discussion will assess whether DEI and other reparative initiatives are effectively contributing to the racial healing they aim to achieve and reflect on the current state of these efforts.

Moderators: Stephanie Rizzi and Dr. Christopher A. Brooks

Panelists: Dr. Sesha Joi Moon, Dr. Shawn Utsey and Hon. Chuck Richardson
