A demonstration of Reaxys and Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry will be presented by Irakli Samkurashvili Ph.D from Elsevier. Reaxys offers a wealth of experimentally validated chemistry information, and it presents a powerful functionality for synthesis planning and preliminary yield and cost estimation. Reaxys is designed to support a full range of chemistry research. It also is a prime resource for  finding reactions, names and formula of substances, physical properties of substances, spectra and natural product information.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this demonstration, participants will be able to:

  • Construct search queries using different tools embedded in Reaxys

  • Import structure/substructure to Reaxys and use it to query the database

  • Search for compounds with specific physical, chemical and biological  properties

  • Perform Reaction Similarity search, Substance search and use Reaction Autoplan feature

This workshop will be presented in-person at Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, Room 2010, also available streaming at Cabell Library, Room 250 and online. Registration required. After registering participants will receive the class URL 3 days before the event.
