In "The Fallacy of the Fanger Equation: Why Inclusive Design Matters," Ali Greenberg, the founder of the Broad, will cover the "standards" in design that have long ignored the vast majority of users, and the decades old and far too cold reason that spaces need to be designed by and for the people using them. She will touch on how The Broad changes that by making womxn-centric design a priority in physical design as well as in programming efforts that promote inclusivity through exclusivity in the Richmond area and the history of similar spaces in the states.
This Berglund seminar will take place in multipurpose room 1303 of the Honors College and is worth two (2) Engagement points.
