VCU Massey Cancer Center will welcome Samantha Harris as keynote speaker at the 24th Annual Women & Wellness Breakfast and Luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at The Jefferson Hotel.

Harris is known as an Emmy-winning journalist, former host of Dancing with the Stars, health and nutrition advocate, and, now, author. In 2014, when Harris received a stage II invasive breast cancer diagnosis at age 40, she was inspired to begin a quest for answers about how we can all improve our overall health and prevent diseases. The resulting book, "Your Healthiest Healthy: 8 Easy Ways to Take Control, Help Prevent and Fight Cancer, and Live a Longer, Cleaner, Happier Life," translates comprehensive, research-backed knowledge into an easy-to-follow action plan. As a highly motivational speaker, Harris will share her story with Women & Wellness attendees, chronicling her personal journey from cancer diagnosis to optimal health.

Tickets are $150 per person, and attendees may choose to attend either the breakfast or luncheon. In addition to the keynote address, the breakfast, sponsored by VCU Health, will also include an "Ask the Experts" segment, in which Massey experts will answer questions about healthy living and survivorship. The lunch program will kick off with a champagne reception sponsored by Fink's Jewelers.
