Title: Collaboration with the Clinical Teams for Research Regulatory Compliance

Objectives:  By the end of this session, attendees will be able to

  1. Describe the importance of Research Essentials in a clinical setting
  2. Identify common regulatory items that clinical teams need to know
  3. Recognize commonly audited research compliance requirements relating to clinical staff 

About the speakers:

MaryAnne Harmon (FNP-C) is a Study Nurse Practitioner for the Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and also works in the VCU Health Emergency Department.  

Carolyn Frey is a member of SOCRA and has worked for VCU for the Departments of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine Dean’s Office and the Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies.

CE: 1.0 CE credit hour for SOCRA CCRP Renewal. Only SOCRA members receive Certificates of Attendance. The Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA ‐ www.SOCRA.org) accepts documentation of candidate participation in continuing education programs for re‐certification if the program is applicable to clinical research regulations, operations or management, or to the candidate’s clinical research therapeutic area.
