The Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences invites the VCU Community to view a traveling exhibit at the library curated by the National Library of Medicine, "Fire and Freedom: Food and Enslavement in Early America."  On display until February 15, 2020, the exhibit explores the important role played by slave labor in keeping American colonial settlers nourished. The exhibit is free and open to the public during all normal library hours.
