Clinical Research Skills Series- Clinical Research Scientific Concepts & Research Design: Why follow the protocol?

After completing this workshop, the learner will be able to:

  1. Describe at least two types of clinical trial research designs.
  2. Describe factors which may threaten validity of results in clinical trials.
  3. Explain why adherence to the research protocol is important.

This workshop is part of the Clinical Research Skills Series (CReSS), coordinated by The Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research. The purpose of CReSS is to provide the clinical research professional with skills and knowledge for the conduct of clinical research according to best practices.
