VCU Departments of Surgery and Internal Medicine are partnering to present an Interdepartmental Grand Rounds featuring alumnus Tadataka Yamada, M.D., on Thursday, March 12. There are two opportunities to hear Yamada present “Lessons from Global Health” (CME credit is not available):

  • 7:308:30 a.m. in Sanger Hall Room 1-044, breakfast reception to follow
  • The Inaugural Gabriel Makhlouf, M.D., Ph.D., Grand Rounds from Noon1 p.m. in MMEC Learning Theatre, Room 2/3-200, 11:30 a.m. pre-lecture reception

Yamada, who completed residency training on the MCV Campus in 1974, is chair of the board of directors at the Clinton Health Access Initiative and managing partner at Mountainfield, LLC. and Frazier Healthcare Partners. He is a past president of the Global Health Program at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and was formerly internal medicine chair and physician-in-chief at University of Michigan Medical Center.
